Northamptonshire Police publish Mobile Camera details

Northants Police

Northamptonshire Police are now publishing the locations of their mobile speed cameras.

These cameras are moved around the County daily covering accident black spots. The Police want their camera vans to be visible and their location known so there is no excuse for bad driving. If their location is known the Police believe it will prevent the risk of speed related accidents.

A police camera has filmed a duck breaking the speed limit in Germany. It registered 39 kilometres an hour in a 30 kilometre an hour zone.

The duck was flying a few centimetres above street level in Glückstadt when it triggered the speed camera. A police spokesman told the Gazet van Antwerpen newspaper:

"We think in reality she was going a bit faster. "The camera wasn't able to register it very well because she was moving her wings very fast."
