The sun was shining at last for the 2002 Brackley Carnival. The carnival had to change the time of the procession from 1pm to 11:30am due to the England v Denmark World cup match.
A large screen complete with beer tent kept everyone in touch with the score.....
ENGLAND 3 DENMARK 0 !! and a place in the World Cup quarter-finals.
One of the highlights in the main arena was the Kangaroos gymnastics display team.
They have now been performing for 19 years. The team consisted of 25 boys aged from 12-24 years of age. The Main Display, lasted 35 minutes,it was a vaulting display of seven different moves, which includes over 250 somersaults, some over a car, using trampolines, trampettes and high trestles.
As well as the Brackley carnival they have appeared at most of the major shows in Britain including the Essex County Show, Shrewsbury Flower Show, The Southsea Show, City of Bath Millennium Show, Northampton Balloon Festival, Town & Country Festival at Stoneleigh and the Battle of the Flowers in Guernsey and in Germany. They have also performed at Wembley Stadium three times and have made over fifteen television appearances including "You Bet!", "Blue Peter" (twice) and "The Big Breakfast".
